The team at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts requested improvement to their existing My Disney Experience mobile application. Not only was it outdated, but the application required upgrades in performance, integration with new features including MagicBand management, and a brand new browsing experience for their parks and attractions.
Charles led a team of user experience and UI designers in conceptualizing a new vision for this platform. The project started off with a deep dive into existing user testing and identifying user pain points. In addition, the team flew out to Orlando to experience the Walt DisneyWorld guest's perspective first hand. This immersion led to a deeper understanding of the user journey from planning, managing, and visiting the parks and attractions. Leveraging these insights, the team produced a number of new concepts that addressed critical pain points throughout the guest user's experience.
This work was extended across multiple platforms, from iOS mobile and tablet, to Android.
